Jul 20, 2013  Character sheet in Excel. Hi all, I am opening this topic to capture feedback on the Excel character sheet generator that I have developed. Both as part of a template for higher levels or manually in the character area (scroll down on that sheet to find that section). Maldin s 2nd Edition AD&D Character Sheets. I started this when the Basic rules came out but got distracted with a new job and it took me some time to finish it. You must download it and open in Excel to use, I'm not familiar with how Google translates Excel code. Basically you fill out the input sheet and the manual corrections sheet, if needed, and print out your character from the other sheets.

I'm using a picture of the original character sheets with transparency for the print outs but it seems to work well. However, you may need to adjust the transparency depending on your printer. Very little is hard coded so you can make updates by finding the hidden sheet and adding to it. Also, if you have any feedback please let me know. One thing I would suggest is on the character creation page (and this more a cosmetic thing) would be to label out all the headings so you don't just have a bunch of bordered cells with no title as to what it is for. Would probably help with some confusion against all the boxes there is all.

Other than that, its great from what I've played around with. I'd probably like to see custom sections for armor/shield/weapons/etc in the future that way as the players level up they'll have something that does quick calculation for their newer gear.
